At Cuts By Carella, we believe in more than just beautiful hair. We run on clear communication, respect for your time, and pricing that makes sense. From the moment you book, you’ll know exactly what to expect and why.

1. Time-Based Pricing Structure

Our pricing reflects the real-world rhythms of salon life. We reward early, off-peak bookings and reflect increased demand during peak periods through a clear, time-based surcharge model.

This structure begins in September 2025. We keep this page updated, so what you see here is what we’re actually running in the salon.

Holiday Mondays & Festive Season Trading

From Monday 24th November 2025, we’ll be opening every Monday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to accommodate holiday demand.

  • All services during these additional Monday hours incur a 35% surcharge.

  • These additional Mondays increase our availability at the busiest time of year and may continue if demand stays high.

Special Trading Day – Tuesday 23rd December 2025

We’re normally closed on Tuesdays, but on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 we’ll open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with Francesco and Mahin.

  • 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    Standard pricing applies (no additional surcharge). You can book with Francesco or Mahin.

  • 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

    • Francesco: a 35% surcharge applies to all services during this time.

    • Mahin: no 35% surcharge applies — she will remain on her classic, non time-based pricing as we welcome her to the community.

Appointments on this day are limited, especially in the afternoon, so early booking is recommended.

Across Christmas and New Year, we remain open, closing only on:

  • Christmas Day

  • Boxing Day

  • New Year’s Day

As we move into 2026, we may continue operating on an extended week; any changes to trading days or surcharges will be updated here.

Standard Weekly Surcharges

Wednesday to Friday

  • Open – 1:00 PM: No surcharge

  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: +10% surcharge

  • 4:00 PM – Close: +15% surcharge

Saturday

  • Open – 1:00 PM: +18% surcharge

  • 1:00 PM – Close: +25% surcharge

Sunday

  • Open – 1:00 PM: +20% surcharge

  • 1:00 PM – Close: +27% surcharge

This structure lets us protect the quality of each appointment while still offering options across different budgets and times.

2. Booking Terms & Deposits

Effective from 19th November 2025 and into 2026.

To provide a smooth, respectful experience for both our clients and our team, all clients are required to pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit:

  • Confirms your appointment, and

  • Is applied toward your service on the day.

Our deposit policy:

  • Deposits are transferable if you reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Transferred deposits must be rebooked within 48 hours of the original appointment time.

  • No-shows or late cancellations may result in a forfeited deposit.

  • You’ll always receive a clear confirmation and receipt after booking.

This protects the time we hold for you and keeps our books fair for every client on the waitlist.

Strict Deposit Enforcement (No Exceptions)

To protect the roster and ensure fairness for clients on the waitlist, deposit timelines are strictly enforced.

New clients: Your 50% deposit must be successfully paid no later than 24 hours before your appointment time. If the deposit has not been received by the 24-hour mark, your appointment will be automatically cancelled.

Phone bookings: A phone booking is not confirmed until the deposit is completed. If you book by phone and do not complete confirmation, your booking will be cancelled within 2 hours of being made if your deposit has not been paid.

This policy has no exceptions, and concerns about online card payments do not override it.

3. New Client Booking Fees (Fresha)

When you book your very first appointment through the Fresha App or Marketplace, Fresha applies a one-time 25% New Client Fee. This fee is set and collected by Fresha, not by the salon, and is added to the cost of that first appointment when you book through their marketplace.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The 25% New Client Fee applies only to your first booking made via Fresha’s marketplace/app.

  • This fee helps Fresha connect new clients with salons like ours — but we understand if you’d rather skip it.

Want to avoid the Fresha New Client Fee on your first visit?

After your first visit, you’re welcome to use Fresha for all future appointments — you’ll be treated as a returning client, and the fee won’t apply again.

4. Prefer classic, non time-based pricing? (Mahin)

If you’d prefer a traditional, non time-based price structure, you’re welcome to book with Mahin.

While she builds her clientele, Mahin will be exclusively classically priced for an introductory 6-week period, ending 1st February 2026.

  • 📞 To book on classic pricing, call 0456 954 168 and request Mahin by name.

  • 💻 If booking online, simply select Mahin as your stylist when you choose your service.

This gives you a choice: time-based flexibility with the wider team, or classic pricing with Mahin while she grows her column.

5. January 2026 Stylist Availability

From 6th January 2026 to 14th January 2026, Francesco will not be available for bookings.

During this period, Mahin will be the lead stylist on the floor, carrying our standard for calm, precise, respect-first service. Time-based pricing and surcharges will continue as normal across this window.

If you’re hoping to see Francesco either side of these dates, we recommend booking early to secure your preferred time.

Jeff will be front of house in the way you’ve always known him — calm, direct, and on your side.

6. Payment Surcharges

To continue offering premium services without raising our base prices, a small 2.2% surcharge applies to all card payments processed via Square. This covers merchant processing fees and ensures your payment is handled securely.

  • Cash payments are welcome with no surcharge.

  • No additional charges apply to direct deposit or approved prepaid vouchers.

7. Respect, Care, and How We Handle Mistakes

If you’re chasing a rushed, slightly-disrespectful in-and-out chop, we’re not your salon. Francesco sets the bar here for calm, precise, respect-first service; the rest of us are human, so if we ever miss that mark on care, tell us — we’d rather fix it than fake it.

Whether you’re booked with Francesco outside his leave dates or with Mahin as lead stylist, that is the standard we hold ourselves to — from pricing to the way we speak with you in the chair.
