How Our Pricing Works

Pricing at Cuts By Carella is structured around service classification, time responsibility, and service capacity — not vague labels, rushed delivery, or hidden adjustments.

This exists to protect one thing above all else:
consistent, high-quality outcomes delivered properly, every time.

1. Service Classification

Every service is classified by:

  • Technical complexity

  • Active stylist involvement

  • Processing and finishing requirements

Correct classification protects:

  • Hair integrity

  • Appointment flow

  • Outcome predictability

If a service requires reclassification, this is addressed before your appointment begins — not during it.

2. Time & Service Reliability

Time is used to classify services accurately, not to meter clients.

Clients are not billed per minute.

Pricing is set per service, based on the time and technical responsibility required to deliver it correctly. Once your service is booked and confirmed:

  • The price is fixed

  • You are not charged for overruns

  • You are not charged less for finishing early

Our service times are not estimates or experiments. They are the result of thousands of completed service runs, tested repeatedly across different hair types, densities, and conditions. These timings are supported by established protocols that allow us to deliver high-fidelity outcomes consistently under real salon load.

This removes pressure to rush and ensures outcomes take priority over speed.

3. Time-Based Demand Pricing

Time-based pricing is applied uniformly across the salon by day and time — it is not set per stylist.

Some appointment windows cost more to deliver.

Rather than inflating base prices across all services, we apply transparent time-based pricing during high-demand periods.

All pricing adjustments are:

  • Automatic

  • Visible during booking

  • Based on time only — not service type or outcome

Trading Days

Cuts By Carella operates Wednesday to Sunday.

Mondays and Tuesdays are reserved for:

  • Advanced education

  • Technical calibration

  • Systems and quality control

This structure protects consistency on the floor and long-term service quality.

Smart Pricing — Why Surcharges Exist

Time-based surcharges are not arbitrary. They relate directly to three operational realities.

Award-Based Penalties

Certain days and time bands attract higher wage obligations under Australian awards. Pricing adjusts to reflect the true cost of delivering services during those periods, transparently rather than hidden.

Service Capacity

Our service capacity is finite. Peak periods compress availability and stylist load. Surcharges regulate demand so services are delivered properly — not rushed or overstacked.

Utilisation & Outcome Protection

Sustained high utilisation without price signalling leads to overbooking pressure and reduced consistency. Time-based pricing protects:

  • Hair integrity

  • Stylist performance

  • Predictable outcomes

Current Demand Windows

Prices adjust automatically by day and time.
The service itself does not change.

Wednesday – Friday

  • Open to 4:00pm: +10%

  • 4:00pm to Close: +15%

Saturday

  • Open to 1:00pm: +18%

  • 1:00pm to Close: +25%

Sunday

  • Open to 1:00pm: +20%

  • 1:00pm to Close: +27%

All adjustments are clearly displayed during online booking.

Standard List Pricing

Standard list pricing remains available.

Bookings are released up to six months in advance, which means there will always be access to lower-demand appointment windows at list price for clients who plan ahead.

Time-based pricing applies only to higher-demand periods closer to the appointment date.

What Never Changes

Regardless of pricing window or appointment time:

  • Service structure remains identical

  • Technical standards do not change

  • Signature Basin Service is always included

  • Outcome accountability remains the same

You are choosing when your service is delivered — not what you receive.

Why We Don’t Discount Outcomes

We do not compete on volume or shortcuts.

We price to protect:
